“Well I feel like I robbed someone. Bought the Used Like New for under $100. It arrived in original packaging and didn’t look like it was ever open. Its really cold right now but I put it in one of my warm rooms. Turned it on. In a few minutes the compressor kicked on and it was blowing ice cold air. If you can grab a used like new do it. I actually bought a second one as I couldn’t pass up the deal!We will see how long it lasts but I can say it came in great condition and worked as it should.”

“It takes a little getting used to because it seems to reset to the ‘auto’ position after it’s been turned off, and I like the fan on high even though that’s a little noisy. Quality of the machine overall is good. The ECO setting is perfect – both the fan and compressor shut off when the temp is reached (as opposed to most window units that the fan stays in all the time and just the compressor kicks off ). It fits a single window well, though the self stick weather stripping did not stay stuck. I wound up caulking around it and figured it would be easy enough to clean off when we remove it for the winter.The buttons are hard to read, mainly because my windows are low, but I took a picture of the control panel so I can blow it up on my phone and determine what light is actually lit. I think the writing on the label could be a bit darker and the LED lights could be a bit brighter. (I swear, I’m not going blind!)Overall, it’s definitely worth the money I spent. Not sure if they recommend a dedicated circuit, but I think that should be the case. It draws quite a bit of power when the compressor kicks in.”

“Very nice AC! We have a larger apartment, but we found that having this in our living room (where we spend most of our time) and keeping a fan in our room keeps the entire place cool! Also, not so loud that we have to turn our TVs’ volume up. I appreciate that I can turn this on via the Midea App on my phone. I typically will turn it on an hour or so before I get home, so we don’t have it running all day. It’s fairly easy to move on carpet; sometimes the wheels do have a hard time going over a little lip.”

“****UPDATE***…. Come mid summer I did buy a second one for the other bedroom.. They work really good but each room did need its own when it was 85 and 90° out. It is September 5th and I still did not have to drain any of them and my first one I bought in May…I was skeptical about portable air conditioners but I am happy I took the chance. I have a 2 floor, one zone townhouse with central ac. I needed something for the bedrooms upstairs, since to get cool enough on one zone its freezing and costly downstairs. I originally bought 2 of these, but returned 1. One does the job. It keeps the bedrooms with a hall and bathroom between them very comfortable. I use less of my central ac and have cooler bedrooms now! The only things I dont care for is it is noisier than expected, and with the vent out the window I could not close the blinds right. So I pull my room darkening blind to the floor over the vent and added 84″inch curtains over that toblock out the light at night. I have not had to drain it yet. That will be a challenge since there is no floor drain on the 2nd floor, but I already have an idea where/how to drain it. Love the remote control… (I do wish the power button glowed a little bit better in the dark.)…. Who wants to fool on their smartphone when you’re sleeping… Overall very satisfied!”

“Works great so far. We’ve had it for several months. It does leak a TON of condensation (in very humid South Texas), so you’ll need something under it outside. We just put a plant pot, and that looks/works fine. As for cooling, it makes our living area cold when it’s 90°+ outside, so I’d say it works. It’s not going to cool a whole house though. We have one in the living area, one in a bedroom, and we need one in another bedroom at the other end of the house. Three would keep a 3 bed house cold.”

“I bought this for my garage. I live in Alabama. It is March 7, 2023 and was 86 degrees today. This air conditioner was delivered today, so you know I had to install it! Packaging was easy to remove. Now, I must have the world’s smallest window in my garage. It’s an old, metal frame window. When I read the description, it seemed like it would fit perfectly after measuring my window. The unit itself fit no problem. The issue was the side panels. It was just like an inch too big horizontally to fit my window. However, I remedied this issue by cutting an inch off of the left and right panel frames. Doing this allowed it to fit perfectly. The height was fine. The screws it comes with are kind of junk, but they work for what you need. Also, the mounting brackets didnt work for me, but again, I have some crazy windowns, apparently. So I made my modifications, installed it, and turned it on. Initially, it made a lot of noise kicking on the first time. Now it’s quite quiet. It’s blowing out some seriously cold air. I am in the process of insulating my garage (already did the garage doors, working on throwing up the panels on the rafters). I think this is going make working on my cars during the summer exponentially better. I don’t know how it will do in the full blown summer yet, but I have high hopes. It will at least be tolerable. I’ll update in a few months if anything goes wrong with it. Side note: if you want to insulate your garage with insulation panels, go to Lowes over home depot. I got Poly Pro 3/4″ thick 4′ x 8′ panels for approx. $15 a piece. Just use a sharp utility knife to cut it and gorilla glue hot glue sticks to mount it to your garage door panels (you’ll need to put blocks of the insulation panels on the garage doors before you install your cut panels or else the height won’t be right. You’ll know what I’m talking about if you go to do it.) Thank me later.”

“12,000 BTU Unit – This is the 3rd floor model air conditioner I’ve purchased and I love it. The packaging was very sturdy. Heavy cardboard box, thick styrofoam padding and nylon straps outside the box protected the unit which was delivered in perfect condition. Unpacking was a breeze. One of the things I love about this unit is the exhaust hose is a heavy, more rigid plastic material that easily snaps into the unit. Other units like this came with flimsy exhaust hoses that needed to be stretched over the exhaust port. I always ended up buying heavier hoses and attaching them with large steel ‘worm’ clamps. Not necessary with the SereneLife unit. The window insert is not as tall as others so it allows more visibility out the window but because of the size and characteristics of my window I had to raise it with a 1” board cut to fit the sill. I also had to trim about 4” from the slide out part for it to fit in my sill. Not a big deal. Took me a minute with my table saw but could easily be done with a hand saw. On a positive note, if you have a very wide window this will fit with no extra work. Also there is a tab to lock the slide expander j to place. I’ve never seen this on previous units. A convenient feature. Now to the important stuff – cooling the house… The unit easily cools my L-shaped living / dining room area as well as the attached kitchen. That’s about 1000 sq ft.. I do have 2 ceiling fans running at slow speed to help circulate the cool air. It is MUCH quieter than previous units I’ve owned. There is a feature that allows the cool air directors to slowly oscillate up and down. I don’t use it but you may find it beneficial. It has a sleek appearance that is aesthetically pleasing. The price was very reasonable for such a powerful, effective air conditioner. Now I’ll mention a few negative issues… 1. There is no screen to cover the outside end of the exhaust port. Depending on where your window is critters and debris can easily find its way into the hose. I’m going to make a screen cover for it. 2. The remote is pretty flimsy and there is no display. My other units had remotes that displayed the same info that is in the unit display. Also the lettering of the functions of the remote buttons is really tiny. 3. As stated, the window unit is very low profile and very wide. Depending on the design of your window you may have to raise the window insert and/or trim the width of the slide expander. All easy things to do but know that it’s possible. All and all I’m very pleased.”
